Lower Tirechoumine Fm
Type Locality and Naming
SW Algeria. The type locality and type section for the Tirechoumine Fm is at Adrar Tirechchoumine (Wendt et al., 2008). This is the lower internal. The formation is well exposed in Jebel Berga (Wendt et al., 2008).
Synonym: Tirechoumine Inférieur Fm, lower Argiles de Tirechchoumine Fm (Argiles = claystone)

Lithology and Thickness
The Lower Tirechoumine Fm is made up entirely of sandstones (Peron et al., 2018).
Relationships and Distribution
Lower contact
It conformably overlies the Tibaradine Fm.
Upper contact
It is conformably overlain by the Gres de Kreb ed Douro Fm.
